The Wolf Pack (17-13-1-4, 39 pts.) have at least a standings point in three straight games (2-0-0-1) and six of their last seven (4-1-0-2), after finishing calendar year 2009 with a sweep of a home-and-home series with Springfield (Edmonton affiliate). The Pack beat the Falcons in Springfield, 4-3 in overtime, on Sunday, their fourth victory in nine trips to OT, and then came from 2-0 down to post a 5-3 win Wednesday at home. That improved the Wolf Pack’s home-ice record to 11-3-1-2. Ken Gernander’s team starts 2010 with back-to-back home games tonight (7:00) vs. Bridgeport (Islanders affiliate) and tomorrow afternoon (3:00) against the Syracuse Crunch (Columbus affiliate). Following that, the Wolf Pack will play seven of their next nine games on the road.
