Tonight’s Game
The Rangers face-off against the New York Islanders tonight at Nassau Coliseum (7:00 p.m.), in the second game of their home-and home set and the Rangers' fourth game in six days. The Blueshirts currently rank fifth in the Atlantic Division standings, and 12th in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 14-16-3 (31 pts.). The Rangers enter tonight's contest having been defeated by the Islanders, 2-1, last night at MSG, and are now 2-0-1 in their last three meetings with the Islanders at home. The NY Islanders enter the contest with a 13-14-7 (33 pts.) record, and rank ninth in the Eastern Conference. Following tonight's game, the Rangers will face-off against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday, Dec. 19, at Wachovia Center (1:00 p.m.), in a matinee matchup between division opponents.
