Pregame Notes: Rangers at Buffalo

Tonight's Game
The Rangers will face-off against the Buffalo Sabres tonight at First Niagara Center (7:00 p.m.), to begin a back-to-back set. The Blueshirts currently rank third in the Atlantic Division standings, and fifth in the Eastern Conference, with a record of 15-6-4 (34 pts). The Rangers enter the contest having been defeated by the Tampa Bay Lightning, 3-2, in the shootout on Thursday at Madison Square Garden, and have now recorded at least one point in 13 of their last 16 contests (12-3-1). The Sabres have a 15-11-2 (32 pts) record to rank seventh in the Eastern Conference and have lost six of their last eight home games (2-4-2). Following tonight's contest, the Rangers will face-off against the Florida Panthers on Sunday, Dec. 11, at Madison Square Garden (7:30 p.m.), to conclude their back-to-back set.
