Tonight's Game
The Rangers begin their 2013 regular season against the Boston Bruins tonight at TD Garden (7:00 p.m.), in an Original Six matchup. This will be the fifth consecutive season the Blueshirts will open their regular season campaign on the road, and the 11th time in the last 13 seasons. Last season, the Rangers finished atop the Eastern Conference Standings, and second in the league overall, with a record of 51-24-7 (109 pts). The Bruins finished the 2011-12 season with a 49-29-4 (102 pts) record to rank second in the Eastern Conference. Tonight's game is the first of back-to-back contests to open the season for the Rangers, who will host Atlantic Division rivals the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday, Jan. 20 (7:00 p.m.), in their home opener at Madison Square Garden.
