The United States relied on solid defense to win a pair of games against Finland and Sweden tonight at the 2003 U.S. National Junior Evaluation Camp at the Olympic Center.
Team White began the day with a 3-1 victory over Finland, while Team Blue posted a 6-2 triumph against Sweden in the second contest.
Michigan State defenseman and Blueshirt prospect Corey Potter collected an assist on Dustin Brown's first goal in Team White's win.
With the wins, the U.S. has clinched first and second place at the four-team tournament, which features 43 prospective American players for the 2004 IIHF World Junior Championship.
