New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that defenseman Thomas Pock has been recalled from the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).
Pock, 24, has skated in 53 games with Hartford (AHL) this season, registering 13 goals and 39 assists for 52 points, along with 74 penalty minutes. The 6-1, 209-pounder currently leads the Wolf Pack with 39 assists and ranks second on the team in scoring (52 points).
His 52 points rank second among all AHL defensemen, and with a goal and an assist on February 26 at Lowell, Pock set a Wolf Pack franchise record for points in a single season by a defenseman, as he eclipsed Mike Mottau's previously held mark of 51 points. The Klagenfurt, Austria native has also appeared in two games with the Rangers this season.
All players on the Rangers active roster participated in Wednesday's practice other than Petr Prucha (knee) who was placed on the IR List retroactive to Feb. 5.
