NYR Prospects in Postseason: April 4 Recap

Three Rangers prospects competed in postseason play on Tuesday night in the and WHL playoffs.


Here is a player-by-player look at their performances:

DubinskyBrandon Dubinsky

Team: Portland Winter Hawks (WHL)
Playoff Series: Portland vs. Seattle (series tied 3-3)
Dubinsky's Playoff Scoring to Date: 6 games, 4 goals, 5 assists
April 4: Seattle 5, Portland 2 (at Portland)

Dubinsky and the Winter Hawks missed a chance to close out the series, as Seattle forced a seventh game with a 5-2 win. Dubinsky had assists on both Portland goals, which were scored by Jonathan Bubnick at 3:33 of the first period to pull Portland into a 1-1 tie and at 9:31 of the second period, after Seattle had taken a 4-1 lead. Dubinsky also had 12 minutes in penalties, including 10-minute misconduct late in the game.

Sauer's Playoff Scoring to Date: 6 games, 3 goals, 2 assists

Sauer didn't figure into the Game 6scoring for Portland, which will play Game 7 on Wednesday night in Seattle.

Team: Saskatoon Blades (WHL)
Playoff Series: Saskatoon vs. Regina (Saskatoon wins series 4-2)
Bahensky's Playoff Scoring to Date: 6 games, 1 goal, 2 assists
April 4: Saskatoon 5, Regina 1 (at Regina)

Bahensky was plus-1 for the game, as the Blades finished off their series with the Pats and advanced to Round 2 against Medicine Hat.
