NYR Prospects in Postseason: April 15 Recap

Two Rangers prospects competed in postseason play on Saturday in the OHL playoffs. Here is a player-by-player look at their performances:


CallahanRyan Callahan
Position: Right Wing
Team: Guelph Storm (OHL)
Playoff Series: Guelph vs. Plymouth (Guelph wins series 4-2)
Callahan's Playoff Scoring to Date: 8 games, 7 goals, 10 assists
April 15: Guelph 4, Plymouth 3 (at Guelph)

Callahan played a big role in helping the Storm reach the OHL's final four. He had a goal and an assist in Guelph's victory as well as a plus-1 rating. He began his night with an assist on Guelph's first goal, scored by Kelsey Wilson on a power play at 3:40 of the first period to make it 1-1. He later scored a go-ahead goal at 5:15 of the third period, giving Guelph a 3-2 lead. Despite having missed two of the Storm's first 10 playoff games, Callahan is second on the team in playoff points with 17.

Team: Owen Sound Attack (OHL)
Playoff Series: Owen Sound vs. London (London wins series 4-2)
Koverko's Playoff Scoring to Date: 10 games, 0 goals, 0 assists
April 15: London 5, Owen Sound 2 (at Owen Sound)

Koverko was held without a point as his Owen Sound team's playoff run came to an end.
