MSG and MSG Plus will offer extensive coverage of the 2009 NHL Draft with a one-hour “Hockey Night Live: NHL Draft Special” premiering on both networks on Saturday, June 27 at 9:00 p.m.
The show will offer a comprehensive look at the draft picks by the three New York area hockey teams – New York Rangers, New Jersey Devils and New York Islanders -- as well as the Buffalo Sabres (telecast on MSG in the Buffalo area), as well as an overview of selections around the league. The special is being presented by Volvo.
MSG Networks’ lineup of hockey experts will be on hand to offer their keen insight for the “Hockey Night Live: NHL Draft Special.” The show will be hosted by Al Trautwig and feature Ken Daneyko, Butch Goring and Dave Maloney, along with contributing reporting from Stan Fischler, who will be onsite in Montreal for the NHL Draft.
