by Staff Writer / New York Rangers

Established in 1997, the NHL A.S.S.I.S.T. (NHL Assists Skaters and Shooters Intent on Succeeding Together) grant program annually awards a total of $100,000 USD to qualifying youth ice hockey organizations from around the world.

Through the NHL Foundation, grants up to $10,000 are awarded each year, helping youth hockey programs pay for rink time, hockey equipment,
and travel. Since the program's inception, more than $600,000 has been awarded to 75 youth hockey organizations worldwide.
