The New York Rangers and Chase will host the Rangers Assist celebration for the Greater NYC Ice Hockey League at the Abe Stark Skating Arena on Tuesday, February 25 beginning at 5:30pm. New York Rangers Assist supported by Chase is an ongoing program dedicated to refurbishing local ice rinks and improving the youth hockey experience through increased opportunities and accessibility to the sport.
As part of the program this season, the Rangers and Chase donated $25,000 to the Greater NYC Ice Hockey League to help reduce participation fees for hockey events, expand learn to skate classes and provide additional training resources to certified coaches to improve their ability to teach the game. Additionally, the Rangers and Chase will unveil a new off-ice training zone for kids as part of the overall donation.
The celebration event will include a variety of activities for attendees, including a “Try Hockey for Free” clinic, youth skills clinics and an exhibition hockey game with Rangers alumni. The game will cost $15 a ticket, with 100% of proceeds going to the Greater NYC Ice Hockey League. All other activities are free and open to the public.
