MSG Network to Offer in Depth Coverage of the Return of the NHL

AS WELL AS NHL ENTRY DRAFT LOTTERY


MSG Network today announced a full day of comprehensive coverage of the official return of the NHL on Friday, July 22. MSG Network will carry both the NHL Press Conference announcing the official return of hockey and the NHL Entry Draft Lottery LIVE, tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. respectively.

In addition, MSG Network will also air a one-hour special on the return of the NHL Friday, July 22, 2005 at 9:00 P.M.

The “NHL Special” will be a roundtable discussion centering on the new collective bargaining agreement, results from the draft lottery, potential new rule changes, the upcoming draft, and next steps for the New York Rangers, New York Islanders and New Jersey Devils.

MSG Network’s entire day of coverage will be presented by Toyota.

The NHL Commissioner, Gary Bettman, as well as executives from each local team will be present, including Don Maloney from the Rangers, Lou Lamoriello from the Devils, and Mike Milbury from the Islanders. Rangers’ announcers Sam Rosen and John Davidson will be contributing to the discussion, along with hockey experts Stan Fischler and Mike “Doc” Emrick. MSG’s John Giannone will host the program.
