The New York Rangers announced today that following a consultation with Dr. Karen Johnston in Montreal this afternoon, Eric Lindros has been cleared to begin his concussion rehabilitation program, effective immediately. This program consists of light cardiovascular activity, with controlled workload and heart rate.
"Eric is progressing very well and we are encouraged with his recovery to date," stated Dr. Johnston. Lindros will remain out of the Rangers' lineup indefinitely.
Lindros suffered a concussion during the second period of the Rangers - Washington Capitals game on January 28. In 39 games this season, Lindros registered 10 goals and 22 assists for 32 points, along with 60 penalty minutes.
