The Madison Square Garden Theatre Lobby was transformed into a mini-golfers paradise as Eric Lindros, members of the New York Rangers, distinguished Blueshirt alumni and celebrities were on-hand to host the Second Annual Lindros Celebrity Mini Golf Classic, presented by OppenheimerFunds, on Tuesday, January 6, 2004.
Proceeds from the events benefitted the Children's Miracle Network and Rangers Cheering For Children.
18 holes of golf were set up throughout the Theatre Lobby and Terrace with refreshments, beverages and top New York restaurants and wineries offering appetizers along the course.
Other Rangers in attendance included: Mike Dunham, Chris Simon, Petr Nedved, Martin Rucinsky, Jed Ortmeyer, Chad Wiseman and Matthew Barnaby. Blueshirt alumni Rod Gilbert, Steve Vickers and Gilles Villemure were also on hand.
A host of celebrities were on hand, including: John
Ventimiglia (The Soprano's), Ian O'Malley (Q104.3 FM), Steve Schirripa (The
Sopranos), Maurice DuBois (NBC's Today in NY), supermodel Roshumba, actress Chloe Sevigny and New York Giants Dhani Jones and Brandon Short.
The Blueshirts also welcomed 'Miracle Kid' Nicole Potachuniuk on the night.
Participating restaurants included: Patsy's, Dos Caminos, East By Northeast, Morton's and Ruby Foo's with some of Long Island's finest wines from Osprey's Dominion Vineyards and Lieb Family Cellars being poured.
Children's Miracle Network is an international non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for children's hospitals and medical organizations.
