Lessard recalled; Girardi, Moore reassigned

Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that the club has reassigned defenseman Daniel Girardi and forward Greg Moore to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).

In addition, forward Francis Lessard has been recalled from Hartford (AHL).

The Rangers now have 30 players remaining in training camp, including three goaltenders, 10 defensemen and 17 forwards.

The Blueshirts return to action tomorrow, September 29, in a pre-season match-up with the New York Islanders at Nassau Coliseum (7:00 p.m.).

Goaltenders -- Henrik Lundqvist, Stephen Valiquette and Kevin Weekes

Defense -- Ivan Baranka, Darius Kasparaitis, Marek Malik, Thomas Pock, Karel Rachunek, Marc Staal, Fedor Tyutin and Aaron Ward.

Forwards -- Blair Betts, Matt Cullen, Nigel Dawes, Brandon Dubinsky, Adam Hall, Ryan Hollweg, Marcel Hossa, Jarkko Immonen, Jaromir Jagr, Francis Lessard, Michael Nylander, Colton Orr, Petr Prucha, Brendan Shanahan, Martin Straka and Jason Ward.
