Jesper Fast Undergoes Successful Surgery

New York Rangers General Manager Jeff Gorton announced today that Jesper Fast underwent a successful labral repair of his left hip. The surgery was performed by Dr. Bryan Kelly at Hospital for Special Surgery. The expected recovery time is five months.

Fast, 25, skated in 68 regular season games with the Rangers this past season, registering six goals and 15 assists for 21 points, along with a plus-six rating and 16 penalty minutes. He also tallied six points (three goals, three assists) in 12 playoff contests. In addition, Fast was selected as the recipient of the Players' Player Award for the second consecutive season.
