One of the Rangers' great holiday traditions continues next week, giving fans a special opportunity to receive autographs from members of the team while supporting the U.S. Marine Corps' Toys for Tots program.
The event, scheduled for 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at The Pond at Bryant Park, marks the 13th consecutive year that the New York Rangers organization has supported the Marine Corps efforts on behalf of Toys for Tots.
Six current Rangers players and Blueshirts great Adam Graves are scheduled to attend the event. Fans attending will receive player autographs from one of the players or Graves in exchange for donating an unwrapped toy for distribution by the United States Marine Corps.
Each of the current Rangers players will be signing his own Rangers photo card alongside a teammate in three one-hour shifts, so specific player autographs cannot be guaranteed. Graves will sign throughout the event.
Last year, more than 1,000 fans turned out for this popular holiday event, bringing more than 2,000 toys into the Toys for Tots program. These toys are distributed by the U.S. Marines to children in need. The Marines will be on hand to collect the toys.
Over the past 12 years, the Rangers have delivered nearly 65,000 toys to New York City children through this annual drive.
The Pond at Bryant Park is located at 42nd Street between 5th and 6th Ave. in Manhattan.
