Hartford Wolf Pack Update - October 19 to 26

The Hartford Wolf Pack posted a 2-0-1 mark to conclude a three-game weekend and remain unbeaten through the first seven games of the 2003-04 season. The Pack currently sit atop the Atlantic Division with 11 points.

October 26, 2003 - Hartford Wolf Pack 2, Lowell Lock Monsters 2 (OT)
Matt Davidson and Pavel Brendl scored late in the third period to help the Lowell Lock Monsters earn a 2-2 tie with the Hartford Wolf Pack. Davidson scored with 2:23 left to get Lowell on the board and, with goaltender Patrick DesRochers pulled in favor of an extra attacker, Brendl tallied 1:56 later to knot the score. Morgan assisted on both goals and DesRochers made 29 saves for the Lock Monsters, who have gone 0-2-1 after beginning the season with four straight wins. Cory Larose and Ken Gernander scored for Hartford, which has yet to lose in regulation this season (4-0-2-1). Jason LaBarbera made 22 saves for the Wolf Pack.

October 25, 2003 - Hartford Wolf Pack 2, Manchester Monarchs 0
Phil Osaer earned his second career AHL shutout as the Hartford Wolf Pack blanked the Manchester Monarchs, 2-0. Osaer, who was making his first start of the season, finished with 18 saves to earn the win, Hartford's fourth in its last five games. John Jakopin assisted on a goal by Ken Gernander that broke a scoreless tie with 3:55 left in the first period and earned another helper on the a third-period tally by Paul Healey for the Wolf Pack. Milan Hnilicka surrendered a goal on 21 shots to suffer the loss and Mathieu Chouinard finished with 11 saves for Manchester, which has lost three of its last four road games.

October 24, 2003 - Hartford Wolf Pack 3, Bridgeport Sound Tigers 2 (OT)
Dominic Moore scored 63 seconds into overtime to lift the Hartford Wolf Pack over the Bridgeport Sound Tigers, 3-2. Moore, who evened the score at 1-1 with a power-play goal 28 seconds into the third period, tallied the game-winner with Juris Stals and Matt Kinch earning the assists. Paul Healey scored a shorthanded goal and Chad Wiseman earned his team-leading fourth assist for Hartford, which has already played in three overtime contests. Jason LaBarbera finished with 22 saves to earn the win. Justin Mapletoft scored with the man advantage to give Bridgeport a 1-0 lead in the second period and assisted on a game-tying, power-play goal by Jeff Hamilton in the third to force extra time. Dieter Kochan surrendered three goals on 26 shots to suffer the loss for the Sound Tigers, who fell to 1-3-1 at the Arena at Harbor Yard.
