Game Notes: Rangers at Washington Capitals

Tonight's Game

The Rangers face-off against the Washington Capitals tonight at the Verizon Center in Game Five of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals (7:00 p.m.). On Wednesday, the Rangers defeated the Capitals, 2-1, in Game Four, to take a 3-1 series lead. New York enters tonight's game with a 197-209-8 all-time record in its previous 414 playoff contests, including a 88-128-6 mark on the road. The Rangers have posted a 23-29 record all-time in the fifth game of a post-season series. New York is 10-6 when Game Five is a potential series clincher for the Blueshirts, and are 12-0 in series when leading 3-1.
