Game Notes: Rangers at Tampa Bay Lightning

Tonight's Game

The Rangers face off against the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight, September 23 (7:30 p.m.), at the St. Pete Times Forum in the second of four games in four nights. New York is currently 1-1-0 in pre-season play, following a 2-1 win over the Ottawa Senators yesterday at Madison Square Garden. Tampa Bay, 1-1-0, enter tonight’s contest having lost to the Pittsburgh Penguins, 3-2, last night at the St. Pete Times Forum. Following tonight’s game, New York will travel to New Jersey to face the Devils tomorrow, September 24 (7:00 p.m.), at the Prudential Center before returning home to host the Lightning in their fourth game in consecutive nights on Thursday, September 25 (7:00 p.m.), at Madison Square Garden. The Blueshirts will begin the 2008-2009 regular season in Prague, Czech Republic on Saturday, October 4 vs. Tampa Bay (12:00 p.m.).
