Game Notes: Rangers at Ottawa Senators

Tonight's Game

The Rangers face-off against the Ottawa Senators tonight at Scotiabank Place (7:00 p.m.), in the second game of a back-to-back set to begin a five-game road trip. The Blueshirts currently rank second in the Atlantic Division standings with a record of 24-15-4, and fifth in the Eastern Conference with 52 points. The Rangers enter tonight's contest having been defeated by the Sabres, 2-1, in a shootout yesterday at HSBC Arena, despite not committing a penalty through regulation/overtime for the first time since November 11, 1999, at Washington (W, 5-4). Following tonight's contest, the Rangers will travel to Long Island to face-off against the Islanders on Tuesday, January 13, at the Nassau Coliseum (7:00 p.m.). The Senators, 13-20-6, currently rank 14th in the Eastern Conference standings with 32 points, and have lost seven of their last eight games.
