Game Notes: Rangers at N.Y. Islanders

Tonight's Game

The Rangers face-off against the New York Islanders tonight at Nassau Coliseum (7:00 p.m.), in their first game in five days. The Blueshirts currently rank third in the Atlantic Division standings with a record of 32-24-8, and seventh in the Eastern Conference with 72 points. The Rangers enter tonight's contest having defeated the Avalanche, 6-1, on Saturday at Madison Square Garden, and have earned a point in four of their last six contests (2-2-2). Following tonight's contest, the Rangers will return home to face-off against the Boston Bruins on Sunday, March 8 at Madison Square Garden (12:30 p.m.), in the first of back-to-back games. The Islanders, 20-36-7, currently rank 15th in the Eastern Conference standings with 47 points, and have earned a point in four of their last five games (3-1-1).
