Game Notes: Rangers at Boston Bruins

Today's Game

The Rangers face-off against the Boston Bruins today at TD Banknorth Garden (1:00 p.m.), in an Original Six matinee matchup. The Blueshirts currently rank second in the Atlantic Division standings with a record of 29-17-4, and fourth in the Eastern Conference with 62 points. The Rangers enter tonight's contest having been defeated by the Penguins, 6-2, Wednesday at Mellon Arena, and have earned a point in six of their last eight games (5-2-1). Following today's contest, the Rangers will return home to face-off against the Atlanta Thrashers on Tuesday, February 3, at Madison Square Garden (8:08 p.m.) in what will be a special evening as former Rangers forward, Adam Graves, will have his No. 9 retired to The Garden rafters in a pre-game ceremony (6:30 p.m.). The Bruins, 35-8-6, currently rank first in the Eastern Conference standings with 76 points, and have lost three of their last five games.
