Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that forward Rico Fata has been reassigned to Hartford (AHL).
Fata was recalled to the Rangers on January 2 and skated in one match with the club during the final three games of the recent road trip. He has now appeared in six games with New York this season. Prior to his recall, Fata led the Wolf Pack in scoring with 28 points (13 goals, 15 assists) in 22 games. He currently ranks second on Hartford behind Brad Smyth, who has 30 points on the season.
The native of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario was Calgary's first round draft choice, sixth overall, in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft.
