Madison Square Garden has named Greg Elliott to the newly created position of senior vice president, marketing partnerships, it was announced today by Scott O’Neil, president, MSG Sports.
Mr. Elliott will be responsible for developing, managing and driving marketing partnerships for Madison Square Garden’s three sports teams, the New York Knicks, Rangers and Liberty, as well as for MSG’s sports properties division, which includes college basketball, boxing, and track and field. This announcement is part of MSG Sports’ effort to maximize value for marketing partners and fans.

Previously, Mr. Elliott served as vice president, corporate development, premium sales and broadcasting for the Houston Rockets and Toyota Center, where he doubled the number of marketing partnerships in just two years while overseeing record gross revenue numbers. He also served as president and general manager of FC Dallas (formerly the Dallas Burn), as well as holding marketing and sales positions with Silicon Valley Sports & Entertainment (formerly the San Jose Sharks and San Jose Arena Management), the International Hockey League and the Seattle Mariners.
