Dunham 'Starts' to Turn It On

by Staff Writer / New York Rangers

Tuesday night' 2-0 shutout of the Carolina Hurricanes marked goaltender Mike Dunham's eighth consecutive start for the Rangers, making him the first goaltender to begin his Blueshirt career with seven-or-more consecutive starts since Ed Giacomin, who started 20 consecutive games in 1965.

Dunham made his Rangers debut on December 16 vs. San Jose in outstanding fashion, backstopping the Blueshirts to a 2-1 overtime victory at Madison Square Garden.

The Johnson City, New York native has posted a 3-4-1 mark, along with a 2.63 goals against average and a .913 save percentage in his eight starts with New York.
