The New York Rangers and the Garden of Dreams Foundation continued their combined efforts to brighten the lives of children in our area on Monday, March 14th when former Rangers Ron Duguay and Rod Gilbert visited The Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine at NYU Medical Center.
Duguay and Gilbert stopped by the hospital to meet a group of children who are currently undergoing rehabilitation treatment. After being introduced in front of the MSG/NYU Mobile Studio inside the facility’s playroom, the two former Rangers spoke to the kids about how they became professional athletes and discussed personal experiences with injury and rehabilitation.
The children also had the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session with the former players, asking questions about favorite sports, lessons learned in sports, current jobs, and more. In addition, Duguay and Gilbert posed for pictures with the kids, signed autographs, and handed out special gift bags.
