Changes Made to Rangers 2001-02 Pre-Season Schedule

New York, September 14, 2001 - The New York Rangers announced today that the pre-season games originally scheduled for Saturday, September 15 and Sunday, September 16 have been rescheduled. All National Hockey League pre-season games scheduled for this weekend were cancelled due to the recent tragedies in New York, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania.
The Rangers will now play a pre-season game against the Detroit Red Wings on Monday, September 17 at 7:30 PM at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. This game was originally scheduled for Sunday, September 16 at 7 PM. The Rangers have also re-scheduled their pre-season game against the Montreal Canadiens for Wednesday, September 26 at 7:30 PM at the Molson Centre in Montreal, to make-up the game originally scheduled for Saturday, September 15 at 7 PM.
