A year ago, Rangers prospects Chris Kreider and Ryan Bourque were invited to the USA National Junior Evaluation Camp wondering if they would make the U.S. World Junior Championship team.

This summer, they will be going back to the camp at Lake Placid, N.Y., with gold medals.

Kreider and Bourque, the Rangers' 2009 first- and third-round draft picks who both played key roles in the USA run to only the second World Junior gold in its history last January at Saskatchewan, were among 44 players invited to the 2010 evaluation camp, which will take place from July 30 to Aug. 7 at Lake Placid's Olympic Center. It will feature practices, intra-squad scrimmages and international games against Finland and Sweden.

Seven other members of the 2010 World Junior Championship gold medalist team are included in the group of 44. Team USA 2010 captain Derek Stepan, drafted by the Rangers in 2008, has aged out of the tournament, which is limited to players under 20 years old.

The 2011 World Junior Championship tournament will be held at Buffalo, N.Y. The World Juniors will be taking place on U.S. soil for the first time since the 2005 tournament, which Team USA also entered as a defending champion.

More information on the camp is available at USAHockey.com.
