MARCH MADNESS - The Rangers closed out March with a 11-4-0 record, setting a franchise high for the most wins in the month of March. Only eight times in team history have the Rangers won 11 or more games in a single month (Mar. 2022 - 11, Feb. 2020 - 11, Nov. 1993 - 11, Jan. 1973 - 11, Oct. 1990 - 11, Dec. 1996, 1995, 1970 - 11).
FOUR IN A ROW - The Blueshirts won their fourth straight game, giving them their fourth winning streak this season of four-plus games. New York has wins in six of its last seven games, eight of its last 10 games and 11 of its last 15 contests.
ROAD WARRIORS - New York improved to 22-13-2 (46 pts) on the road and have won five of their last six games away from MSG. Tonight was the Blueshirts' 37th road game of the season, the most in the NHL. Two of their remaining four road games will come in New Jersey and on Long Island.
ATLANTIC RECORDS - The Rangers improved to 17-2-1 against the Atlantic Division, their 17 wins being a league-high. New York's 28 wins against the Eastern Conference are tied for the most in the NHL with Florida.
BACK-TO-BACK, ALRIGHT! - New York completed its 12th back-to-back set of the season, improving to 7-4-1 in the second half of back-to-backs. The Blueshirts' seven wins in the second half of back-to-back games are the fourth most in the NHL. On the year, the Rangers have won both games of a back-to-back on five occasions.
ANOTHER ONE - The Rangers collected their franchise-high 24th comeback win of the year after coming from behind at 2-1, 3-2 and 4-3. New York improved to 16-3-1 when tied after two periods, their 16 wins in those instances being the most in the NHL.
ALL THAT POWER - Chris Kreider netted the tying goal on the power play, giving the Rangers a power play tally in eight of their last 11 games (9G) and 10 of their last 15 games (11G). In the NHL, the Blueshirts rank second in power play percentage with a 27.1 percent mark. Kreider and Zibanejad have combined for 37 power play goals (Kreider - 24, Zibanejad - 13), tied for the second most combined power-play goals between two Rangers players in a single season.
SHOT(S) THROUGH THE HEART- New York outshot the Red Wings, 34-26, and have recorded 30 or more shots in four of their last five games.
STAYING LATE - The Rangers improved to 4-3 in the five-minute overtime session, winning each of their last three games in overtime. Two of the New York's last three games have been decided in OT.

  • Chris Kreider scored the game-tying goal at the end of the third period, the 46th of his season and 24th on the power play. He ties Jaromir Jagr (2005-06) for the most power play goals in a single season in franchise history. He also ties Jean Ratelle (1971-72) for the seventh most single-season goals in team history. He tied his career-long point streak of six games, previously set from Jan. 13-24 of this season.
    - Andrew Copp scored his first career overtime winner and tallied a point for a sixth-straight game, establishing the longest point streak of his career. Five of those six games have been with the Rangers, and he becomes the fourth player since 2000-01 to have a point streak of at least five games to start their tenure. The others were Brad Richards (5 GP - 2011-12), Marian Gaborik (8 GP - 2009-10), and Brendan Shanahan (6 GP - 2006-07).
    - Artemi Panarinrecorded his 10th three-point game of the season (1G-2A), tied for the fourth most in the NHL. Panarin extended his point streak to five games (2G-6A) and has 17 points (3G-14A) in his last 10 games. It marks Panarin's third point streak of five or more games this season (5 GP - Mar. 22-30, 5 GP - Mar. 6-15, 6 GP - Jan. 15-27). Panarin's 62 assists are tied for the third most among league skaters.
    - Mika Zibanejad notched an assist, giving him points in six of his last seven games (1G-7A) and 12 points (4G-8A) in his last 10 games. Zibanejad finished the month of March with six goals and 10 assists for 16 points in 15 games.
    - Frank Vatrano extended his point streak to four-straight games (4G-1A) with an assist and has totaled five goals and one assist in eight games with the Rangers.
    -Adam Fox registered his 56th assist of the year, tying Brian Leetch (1993-94) for the ninth most in a single season by a New York defenseman. Fox has points in seven of his last 11 games (3G-6A) and in 11 of his last 16 contests (3G-14A). His 56 assists are the second most among d-men in the NHL.
    - Alexandar Georgiev earned a win for a fourth-straight start dating back to Mar. 15, tying his longest win streak of his career (Oct. 23-Nov. 21, 2018)
    - Filip Chytil scored his seventh goal of the season, notching a point for the third time in his past four games (1G-2A). Chytil has points in five of his last 10 games (1G-4A).
    - Ryan Reaves scored his third goal of the season, his first since January 19 against Toronto. Reaves' goal was his sixth career unassisted tally and first since February 20, 2020 with Vegas.
    - Braden Schneiderfound the scoresheet for a second straight game (1G-1A), registering his sixth assist of the year.
    - Patrik Nemethtallied an assist to notch his fifth point of the season (2G-3A). Nemeth also recorded a plus-2 mark in 13:35 of ice time.
