Adam Graves 2

Hear from Adam Graves about his offseason training!

What type of training did you do in the summers? How many days a week?
I would workout 6 days a week, combining a variety of exercises within my workout: cardio, aerobic, aerobic training stationary bikes and treadmills. I would also do sprints with roller blades at an outdoor track, squats, medicine ball workouts, ladder agility exercises and push-ups.
Did you play others sports?
I played soccer. I loved hockey but wanted to play other sports as well. In the long run, I think it helped me perform better. I was able to work different muscles than I normally do.
What's your favorite summer activity?
I have always loved to go fishing. It is a great way to unwind and relax from all the craziness in a week. I love to go with my wife and kids.
Any advice for our Junior Rangers who want to train in the offseason?
My biggest piece of advice would be to only do body weight exercise. I also highly recommend playing other sports as athleticism is the key to being a good hockey player.
