"Coach Geoffrion" Lends A Hand At Hockey School
The 12th Annual Preds Hockey School wrapped up a fun, filled week of hockey instruction July 5-9 at A-Game Sportsplex in Franklin. Over 100 youth hockey players ages 8 to 14 participated in the sold out summer camp. Skill levels ranged from beginner to travel level players and goaltenders. Throughout the week campers had the opportunity to skate alongside members of the Preds organization – Preds forward and Brentwood native Blake Geoffrion, prospect players Taylor Beck and Roman Josi and Hockey Operations Director Brian Poile. In addition, Preds forwards Martin Erat and Mike Fisher, and former Associate Coach Brent Peterson made guest appearances to talk to the kids and checkout their development. A well-rounded curriculum included 2-3 daily ice sessions led by A-Game Sportsplex and Nashville Jr. Predators AA Hockey Director Tim McAllister, as well as daily off-ice conditioning, video review, Laser Chase and much more!

With the growth of youth hockey participants in Middle Tennessee, Preds Hockey School is just one of many development opportunities offered by the organization. Later this month the SOLD OUT 3rd Annual Little Preds Hockey School for ages 4-7 will take place at A-Game Sportsplex. Parents interested in getting their kids involved in hockey should check out the Preds Get Out And Learn! free beginner hockey program for ages 5 to 8 at, or contact a rink near you on beginner skating or hockey programs. There are hockey opportunities for everyone!
