The Nashville Predators have a total of 12 players and prospects participating in the 2007 IIHF World Championship currently under way in Russia. Here is an update on how they have performed through the games of May 9.

Canada

Dan Hamhuis, defenseman
Hamhuis has a goal, two assists and a +2 rating through six games. Canada will face Switzerland in a quarterfinal match on Thursday, May 10.

Shea Weber, defenseman
Weber returned to the Canada lineup for Sunday's 4-3 win over the Czech Republic. The 21-year-old defenseman was ejected from Canada's first game of the tournament and suspended for three more games following an elbow to the head of Germany's Yannic Seidenberg. Weber, who accumulated 25 penalty minutes after skating just one shift in the opener, has 29 penalty minutes through three games. Canada will face Switzerland in a quarterfinal match on Thursday, May 10.

Chris Mason, goaltender
Mason is serving as Team Canada's third goaltender behind Dwayne Roloson and Cam Ward. Canada will face Switzerland in a quarterfinal match on Thursday, May 10.


Czech Republic

Marek Zidlicky, defenseman
Zidlicky had 1 goal and 5 assists for six points in seven. His goal was a power-play tally. He tied for second on his team with 14 shots. The Czech Republic fell to Russia 4-0 in a quarterfinal match on Wednesday, May 9 and are finished in the tournament.

Petr Hubacek, forward
Hubacek went pointless with a -1 rating and 9 shots in seven games. The Czech Republic fell to Russia 4-0 in a quarterfinal match on Wednesday, May 9 and are finished in the tournament.


USA

Ryan Suter, defenseman
Suter has a goal, two assists and a +3 rating through six games. He has amassed 12 penalty minutes. Team USA will face Finland in a quarterfinal match on Thursday, May 10.


Russia

Alexander Radulov, left wing
Radulov scored on his only shot in Russia's 4-0 quarterfinal win over the Czech Republic on Wednesday, May 9. Radulov now has 2 goal and a +2 rating through seven games.


Sweden

Patric Hornqvist, forward
Hornqvist, the Swedish league rookie of the year, has 2 goals, 3 assists and a +4 rating through six games. Sweden will face Slovakia in a quarterfinal match on Wednesday, May 9.


Latvia

Lauris Darzins, forward
Darzins had 3 goals and 2 assists in six games. His 13 shots ranked second on the team. Latvia finished the tournament in 13th place after a 7-4 relegation round loss to Norway on Monday.


Slovakia

Richard Stehlik, defenseman
Stehlik is pointless but has a +3 rating in five games. Sweden will face Slovakia in a quarterfinal match on Wednesday, May 9.


Germany

Alexander Sulzer, defenseman
Sulzer was pointless and a -2 in six games. His 14 shots on goal ranked second on the team. Germany closed out tournament play on Monday with a 6-5 relegation round win over Belarus. Germany finished in 9th place.


Denmark

Kim Staal, forward
Staal had 2 goals, 3 assists and was -3 in five games. Denmark finished the tournament in 10th place after downing Italy 5-2 in the relegation round on Monday.
