Entering tonight's play 13 of the 15 conference teams have earned at least 16 points on the season, with seven teams already reaching the 20 point mark. Twelve of the 15 teams in the conference have points percentages above .500 -- and a 13th team (Chicago) is at .500. By contrast, only eight of the 15 Eastern Conference teams have points percentages above .500.

Vancouver, Detroit, and Los Angeles have been the three hottest teams in the conference. Vancouver has posted a 8-1-1 mark in its last 10 games, while Detroit and LA have both gone 8-2-0 over their last 10 games.

Central Division
Central Division teams have won 7 shootouts this season, more than any other division in the NHL (Pacific is second with 5 shootout wins). The Central Division in 7-4 in shootouts this year; the 11 shootouts are also more than any other division in the NHL (Northwest Division is second with 8 -- 2-6 record) ... Chicago's Patrick Sharp leads all Central Division forwards in both goals (10) and points (19) this season. In six games against divisional foes Sharp has scored 5 goals and 8 points with a -1 plus/minus rating; in 13 games outside the division Sharp has scored 5 goals and 11 points with a -10 rating ... Nashville's Cal O'Reilly has 9 points on the road this season (in eight road games), the best road production of any Central Division player this season ... Northwest Division
