No one shows greater emotion after scoring than Viktor Arvidsson. But his goal on Friday night in St. Louis to give the Predators a 3-0 lead in the second period was so impressive, even he wasn't sure how to celebrate.
After corralling the puck in neutral ice, the 5-foot-9 Arvidsson went between his legs and dangled around Blues defenseman Jay Boumeester - he of over 1,000 games of NHL experience, by the way - and drove to the net, sneaking the biscuit around the poke check of goaltender Jake Allen and over the line.
It was not only one of the more jaw-dropping markers in recent Preds memory, but is sure to be shown around the NHL for weeks to come. Not bad for a 2014 fourth-rounder who was deemed by many too small to play in the NHL. He and his 10 goals this season would beg to differ.
The Predators ultimately defeated the Blues by a 4-0 score in their final game of 2016.
