Sunday afternoon, the NCAA announced the field of 16 teams for the 2016 Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Championship.
Nashville Predators prospects Jimmy Vesey and Tyler Moy lead Havard (19-10-4) into a No. 3 and No. 2 matchup versus Boston College (26-7-5) on Friday, March 25 at 7 p.m. (CT). The contest will be televised on ESPNU or is available to be streamed on the WatchESPN app.
Vesey, a senior forward and 2012 third-round pick of the Preds, enters the NCAA Tournament and final stage of his collegiate career after leading Harvard to the ECAC championship game this weekend, before falling by a 4-1 final to Quinnipiac. On Friday, in the semifinals versus St. Lawrence, Vesey was again the offensive catalyst for the Crimson, tallying a goal and the primary assist on the game-winning goal in a 2-1 overtime triumph.
Following the conclusion of Harvard’s season, Vesey will have the opportunity to sign an entry-level contract with the Predators and begin play with the team.
