USA Hockey opened its three-day Olympic Orientation Camp in Chicago on Monday with 34 players, including Preds defenseman Ryan Suter. Preds GM David Poile, Team USA's Associate General Manager for the 2010 Olympics, is also in attendance. (click here for the full camp roster)

"It’s definitely an honor to be here and be a part of this environment; to see all the great players that are here at this camp and be a part of that," Suter said on Monday afternoon. "Everyone here is such a good player. Just to be on the ice with these guys is special."

Team USA held practice sessions with the team split into two sessions: Group 1 on the ice from 10:15 - 11:15, followed by media availability. Group 2 in media sessions first followed by on-ice work from 11:30 - 12:30. In the afternoon the team held organizational meetings and Olympic briefings. The highlight of the day, though, was the unveiling of the 2010 Olympic Jerseys before the morning skates.

"It was neat," Suter admitted. "I never really had even thought about being a part of an Olympic team, so it really was special to put the jersey on this morning (for practice)."

"I think right now it’s a time where we’re just trying to get familiar with each other. Right now the big thing is to get everyone on the same page, so when the final team is named whoever is there knows what’s expected of them and just go to Vancouver and take care of business on the ice."
