Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced Thursday that the club has recalled forward Scottie Upshall (UHP-shawl) from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League and reassigned forward Jordin Tootoo (TOO-too) to Milwaukee.
Upshall, 22 (10/7/83), has posted 29 points (16g-13a) and a +13 rating in 15 games with Milwaukee this season and was named the AHL's CCM Vector/AHL Player of the week last week. In two games, Upshall scored four goals, added two assists and recorded a +5 rating as the Admirals earned three of a possible four points against a pair of division leaders. The 6-0, 197-pound winger, the Predators' first-round pick (sixth overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, has recorded 13 points (4g-9a) and a +5 rating in 32 NHL games with Nashville this season.
Tootoo, 23 (2/2/83), has posted six points (1g-5a) and a +5 rating in 16 games with Nashville this season.
The Predators' roster stands at 22. Three players (Vern Fiddler, David Legwand and Scott Walker) are on injured reserve.
Nashville (33-17-6) takes on the Western Conference-leading Detroit Red Wings (37-13-5) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Gaylord Entertainment Center. The game will be televised locally on FSN South and broadcast on 104.5-FM The Zone.
