The Nashville Predators will leave their helmets, pads and skates in the locker room and slip into their finest 70s attire for the annual Predators Foundation Unmasked Ball, with this year’s theme, Disco at Club 501. The gala will be held on Sunday, March 8, 2009 at the Sommet Center.
The annual event to benefit the Predators Foundation will feature a gourmet meal and open bar. Tables of eight including a Predators player, coach or management representative and guest may be reserved for $5,000 or $3,500; these tables also include eight invitations to the VIP pre-event party. Tables for 10 guests are available for $2,500 and individual tickets ($250) and event sponsorships are also available. For information on table and individual reservations, please call the Predators’ community relations department at (615) 770-2321 or visit nashvillepredators.com/gala.
The event will include an extensive auction with more than 200 items—including memorabilia from NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB teams as well as the music industry. The premiere auction will feature several high-end items including a road trip with the team to Phoenix, Los Angeles, Anaheim and San Jose in March of 2009.
The Unmasked Disco Ball will feature Predators players, coaching staff and management. The event is a creative Disco affair—with an emphasis on creative. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Nashville Predators Foundation. The Predators Foundation has presented over $2 million in financial grants and donations since its 1998 inception. Additionally, the foundation has provided in-kind donation, including memorabilia and tickets, to many organizations and fund-raising events. The Predators Foundation strives to meet the needs of the community by offering unique resources and financial support to local youth-oriented organizations.
Cocktails and a silent auction will begin at 6:00 p.m., dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. and entertainment begins at 9:00 p.m. Play-by-play announcer Pete Weber and color commentator Terry Crisp will again host the program.
