by Staff Writer / Nashville Predators
Preds 2009 draftees Taylor Beck, Ryan Ellis, and Charles-Olivier Roussel were among the 41 players invited to Hockey Canada's development camp for the 2011 World Junior team. Nashville was one of five NHL teams with multiple prospects taking part in the camp.

Ellis, Nashville's first round pick in last summer's draft, has played for Team Canada at the last two World Junior tournaments posting 15 points in 12 career games at the World Juniors.

Beck, a third round pick by the Preds last summer, had a break-out campaign in '09-10 with 39 goals and 93 points in 61 games to rank tied for fourth in points and tied for ninth in goals in the Ontario Hockey League. Roussel was one of the last defensemen cut from last year's Canadian squad. A second round pick by the Preds last summer, he ranked among the QMJHL's top-10 defensemen in points (51), goals (15), and game-winning goals (4) in '09-10.
