Three Takeaways

Dutchy Joins the 400 Club
Matt Duchene's assist on Mattias Ekholm's goal in the first period was the 400th of his NHL career. After recording his second assist of the night on Forsberg's third-period laser, Duchene now owns 36 points (10g-26a) in 39 career games against the Oilers. He led all Nashville skaters with three points (2g-1a) in three games vs. Edmonton last season.

McDavid Gets 10 in 10
With his first-period tally, Oilers captain Connor McDavid recorded 10 goals in the season's first 10 games for the first time in his career. McDavid was recently named the NHL's First Star of the Week after racking up four goals and four assists in Edmonton's four-game win streak leading up to Tuesday's game vs. Nashville.
McDavid leads all NHL skaters with 21 points (11g-10a). His 11 goals are also a league high.
Perfect on the Power Play
The Preds went 2-for-2 on the power play in Tuesday's game, capitalizing on both of their opportunities on the man advantage. Their first chance came when Oilers defenseman Brett Kulak was called for slashing against Forsberg at 8:44 of the second period. Ryan Johansen tipped in a shot from Josi on the man advantage to cut Edmonton's lead to 5-2. It was Johansen's fourth goal of the season, briefly tying him with Nino Niederreiter for the team lead until Niederreiter scored his fifth on a third-period power play while Edmonton's Tyson Barrie was serving an interference penalty.

They Said It

Forsberg on Nashville's perfect power play:
"I thought that the intensity was better. We obviously got our first draw and lost the second draw but we got pucks back. We worked for rebounds on both of the goals and I think that's something we definitely have to keep going with."

Head Coach John Hynes on Nashville's perfect power play:
It was good to see those guys able to get out and score and get some numbers on the board. [There were] some things that we've talked about and they went out and executed and got rewarded for, so that was good to see.
Forsberg on Nashville's third period effort:
"I don't think I've ever seen this team quit and that was the same thing tonight. I thought we worked hard and we made it a game… We obviously couldn't finish it off, but like I said, the first period was kind of where we lost."

NSH@EDM: Forsberg scores in 3rd period

Head Coach John Hynes on Nashville's third period effort:
"We were right there battling back at certain times in the game, but there were key situations where we've got to be able to execute better or stay out of the penalty box or whatnot. So, we didn't handle those situations well when we kind of cut the lead to two to give ourselves a chance to cut it to one and then make it a game."
