What to Watch For...
Tuesday- Nashville vs LA Kings

The Predators will play a familiar opponent in the LA Kings on Tuesday. These two teams met at Bridgestone Arena last Tuesday where the Preds picked up the 2-1 win. Thursday- Nashville vs Colorado Avalanche
Nashville will be looking to add to their 2-0-0 season record against the Colorado Avalanche when they visit Bridgestone Arena on Thursday. David Legwand leads the Preds with two goals against the Avs this season. Every Thursday, with proof of a college ID, receive an upper bowl ticket for $15 or a lower bowl ticket for $25. Drink specials will be offered to all those in attendance through the first intermission.

Saturday- Preds Cup High School Hockey Championship
The 12th Preds Cup High School Hockey Championship game will be held this Saturday at Bridgestone Arena at 1pm. The event is free to attend. Follow the Greater Nashville Area Scholastic Hockey League playoffs at to determine which two Nashville area teams will advance to the Preds Cup championship game. For more info visit

Saturday- Nashville vs Detroit Red Wings
The Preds will be looking to improve their season record of 1-3-0 against the Wings on Saturday. Jordin Tootoo leads the team with four points (1G-3A) against the Wings this season.

This Week...
The Preds begin a three game Western Conference home stand on Tuesday against the LA Kings. The Kings were Nashville’s opponent last Tuesday at Bridgestone Arena as well. On Thursday, the Colorado Avalanche will head to Nashville desperately looking for two points. Just one point out of a playoff spot, the Avs will definitely be playing tough hockey on Thursday. The week wraps up with an always-heated rivalry as the Detroit Red Wings come to town. Detroit sits fourth in the Western Conference standings with Nashville just behind them in fifth.

  • Ryan Ellis has missed the last 2 games due to a cold/illness, but has returned to full practice this week.
  • Kevin Klein has missed the last 3 games with an upper body injury. He is listed as out for Tuesday night's game vs. Los Angeles.
  • Brian McGrattan has missed the past 12 games with an upper body injury, but has resumed skating with the team

The Week That Was...
Nashville started the week picking up two points against the LA Kings at Bridgestone Arena. Roman Josi opened the scoring for Nashville, giving him four points in three games. Patric Hornqvist notched his 18th goal of the year and is now tied with Mike Fisher for the team lead in the category. The Preds headed straight out following the game as they traveled to take on the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday night. Nashville was handed a regulation loss (3-4) for just the fourth time this season when scoring three or more goals. Gabriel Bourque notched his first career multi-point game (1g-1a) on a career-high four shots on goal. Craig Smith scored for the first time in 14 games. He ranks sixth among first-year players with 32 points (12g-20a). The Preds got back to their winning ways on Saturday in Florida against the Panthers as they picked up the 3-1 victory. Nashville netted a goal in all three periods to claim the win and never trailed at any point of the night. Andrei Kostitsyn netted the 100th goal of his career and Pekka Rinne made 39 saves for his 36th win of the season, tying the franchise single-season wins mark set by Tomas Vokoun in 2005-06.

Rinne stopped 69-of-71 shots to earn the two wins on the week with a .972 save percentage and 1.00 goals against average in his two starts. David Legwand paced the offense with four points on the week (one goal, three assists), followed by Gabriel Bourque with three points.

Prospect of the Week...
Victor Bartley -- A free agent signee this summer, Bartley scored three points in three AHL games for the Milwaukee Admirals last week with two goals and one assist. For the season Bartley has scored eight goals and 29 points to rank among the top-20 in the AHL in defenseman points, while also posting a +13 plus/minus rating, second best on the Ads team.
