Luggage packed, plane boarded, California bound.

Nine-year-old hockey players, Chris and Kasper, plus their families, were headed for Los Angeles and 2017 NHL All-Star Weekend, a lucky pair with a chance to represent the Nashville Predators in the NHL's miniature 1-on-1 competition, a shootout contest against young participants hailing from other NHL cities.

Members of the Preds Selects youth team, Chris and Kasper donned the Predators logo on the California coast, the opportunity of a lifetime to play a part in the League's signature weekend.

But this was L.A., land of the stars, where anything is possible - and duo quickly learned just that, courtesy of another Predators representative sharing space in the same zip code for the weekend.
