Star-Studded Musical Lineup Revealed for All-Star Weekend in Nashville

by Thomas Willis / Nashville Predators

When Nashville was announced as the host city of the 2016 NHL® All-Star Weekend, betting the city’s musical heritage would play a pivotal role in the festivities was a pretty sure wager. This is Music City, after all.

Fourteen months later, and with the All-Star Weekend next month, the NHL and Nashville Local Organizing Committee have made official what we’ve all been hoping for: You won’t be able to turn without hearing some of the world’s best music as you walk the All-Star Weekend campus. An unprecedented list of musical stars will grace the IntelliCentrics Outdoor Concert Series and also play within Music City Center at NHL® Fan Fair presented by Bridgestone.

“Hosting the NHL All-Star celebration in Music City provides a terrific opportunity to involve the music community with numerous concerts that reflect the breadth and talent of Nashville’s all-star artists,” said Country Music Association CEO and Chair of the Events Committee Sarah Trahern.

The IntelliCentrics Concert Series will be hosted at the All-Star Winter Park presented by Bridgestone, which also features an outdoor skating rink, s’mores fire pits, family fun activities and other attractions. Hockey and music fans alike will be able to visit the park adjacent Bridgestone Arena during the final week in January to hear some of music’s biggest names, including Dierks Bentley, Big & Rich and Kelsea Ballerini, and join in on Nashville’s celebration of the sport of hockey, all for free.

A single concert location isn’t enough for a NHL All-Star Weekend in Music City, of course.

Within NHL Fan Fair at Music City Center, concerts will be included with the price of admission and coordinate with musical sessions at Winter Park so as to never overlap. Fans can look forward to hearing from members of the cast of ABC’s Nashville (Charles Esten, Clare Bowen and Lennon & Maisy Stella), Lonestar, MercyMe and Danny Gokey.

Here’s the schedule of stars set to play in Nashville during All-Star Weekend at the two concert venues:

IntelliCentrics outdoor concert series:
Big & Rich Thursday, Jan. 28
Lee Brice, Aaron Lewis, John Hiatt Friday, Jan. 29
Chris Young, Tara Thompson Saturday, Jan. 30
