Preds first year pro goaltender Jeremy Smith was promoted to the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League today. Smith had opened the season with Cincinnati Cyclones of the ECHL. He will join Preds 2008 First Round pick Chet Pickard to form Milwaukee's goaltending tandem.

Smith has posted a 6-4-1 record with a 2.45 goals against average, a .903 save percentage, and one shutout in his first professional season. The Dearborn, MI native was Nashville’s second-round pick (54th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

The Admirals are back on home ice this Friday night against the Texas Stars and on Saturday night versus the Manitoba Moose. Tickets for the game can be purchased by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.
