Runners lace 'em up for FANGtastic 5K

by Staff Writer / Nashville Predators

Despite the threat of wintry precipitation the night before, the Nashville Predators' 2006 FANGtastic 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Skate proceeded as planned Saturday morning, Feb. 11, under good weather conditions. A total of 681 runners participated in the race, which started and finished on Fifth Avenue adjacent to the Gaylord Entertainment Center. All runners received a commemorative 5K T-shirt and a free ticket to either that night's hockey game between the Predators and Columbus Blue Jackets or Nashville's March 2 contest against the Vancouver Canucks.

Fifteen-year-old Sean Keveren was the first to cross the line, finishing in a time of 16:19. Twenty-seven-year-old Andrea Davis was the top female, completing the course in 19:11. For complete results, visit the FANGtastic 5K results page at nashvillestriders.com.
