Center Randy Robitaille, who was signed as a free agent by Nashville on Aug. 19, was claimed off waivers Tuesday by the Minnesota Wild. Robitaille, 29, was one of four players reassigned Monday to the Predators' top minor-league affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals, as Nashville trimmed its roster to 24. Per league rules, he had to clear waivers prior to joining Milwaukee's roster.
Robitaille's NHL career spans eight seasons and seven clubs, and he was a member of the Predators' organization from 1999-2001. His most productive campaign came in 2003-04 with the Atlanta Thrashers, when he collected 11 goals and 26 assists in 69 games.
