Preds goaltender Pekka Rinne

Rinne is the seventh Preds player to participate in the YoungStars event at the NHL All-Star Weekend, joining current teammates David Legwand
(2002), Dan Hamhuis (2004), and Weber (2007). Legwand scored two goals and two assists in his appearance, while Weber tallied a pair of assists two years ago.
Rinne has limited opponents to two or fewer goals in 11 of his 17 starts, including six of his last eight. After a slow start to the campaign, he become one of the top netminders in the league during the second quarter of the season. Since December 1 he has posted a 2.02 goals against average and .927 save percentage with four shutouts to move among the league leaders in goals against average (7th entering Saturday’s games), save percentage (13th entering Saturday’s games), and shutouts (5th entering Saturday’s games).
