After being acquired via trade on Monday, defenseman Erik Gudbranson will debut for the Predators tonight.
Nashville (24-20-1) is still looking for their first win of the season over the Hurricanes, after falling, 4-1, to Carolina on Thursday. Overall, the Preds have won 13 of their last 17 games to climb the standings and sit in the fourth and final playoff spot in the Central Division. The Hurricanes could be a future first-round opponent for Nashville in the postseason.
The Predators held a full morning skate on Saturday at PNC Arena and were joined by Gudbranson and Matt Duchene (Injured Reserve). Nashville Head Coach John Hynes said Duchene and Gudbranson will play for the Predators this evening.
The Hurricanes (28-10-4) will complete a season-long, eight-game homestand with their sixth contest of the season against the Preds tonight.
