The Nashville Predators have the opportunity to claim their fourth win in a row when they visit the Carolina Hurricanes tonight (at 6 p.m. CT).
Viktor Arvidsson fired home the game-winner in overtime during the Predators first game of their current two-game trip in Washington on Thursday. The Preds (35-24-11) have points in five straight overall and have earned at least one point in their last four meetings (3-0-1) with the Canes. James Neal remains red hot for Nashville with goals in his last three games and points in his last five; Arvidsson is also on a three-game point streak.
Carolina (29-27-12) has rebounded recently, beating one of the Western Conference's top teams in the Wild on Thursday and are on a five-game point streak. The Hurricanes won the first meeting between the two teams, 3-2 in a shootout, on Nov. 5.
Nashville held a full morning skate on Saturday and were joined by Miikka Salomaki (Injured Reserve; lower-body injury) and Vernon Fiddler (upper-body injury).
